"Drink responsibly" ,like most of the slogans, is widely known yet seldom taken into consideration when one's drinking. For the long period, whether liquor companies should advertise their products in order to promote the public to drink is largely discussed and questioned. Throughout the newspaper, we could easily discover the social problem resulted from the alcohol abuse is not a personal issue, but should take as a public consideration. In my opinion, I am totally pro to drinking responsibly and regard it as a code when I go any occasions.
It is nice for those liquor companies to have the self-consciousness that what the have been marketing and selling might cause serious social problems. It would not be more efficient for those companies who take a lead at advocating the drinking responsibly idea and it is a nesscessity to do so. With the perception, they should take preventing people from alcohol abuse as a responsibility while they are promoting people to perchase their products, which forms a dilemma. However, it is necessary for those companies to take the duty for their own, morally and responsibly. The campaign which is mentioned in the article could be consider as a sybol of their taking resiponsibility, yet on the other hand, they are not and would not be the only one to blame. Like the marketing manager said in the article, all they can do is to offering the choice. They inform the public what it might happen when alcohol is overtaken, the rest is up to people to make their own decision.
Consequently, that's the reason why most of the countries in the world ask the people who's going to purchase the liquor have to be adult, in order to make sure you have the sense of responsibility and the ability to make your own choices. Next time when you run into somebody's birthday party or the night club where everybody's drinking, think about the responsibility you should take with while you gulp down your first cocktail.
